e*College*Suite @ V.P.S.V Ayurveda College,Kottakkal was Inaugurated by Hon. Minister of Health Smt. Sreemathi Teacher on 29/4/2010. The Programme was chaired by MLA. Sri. Abdurahiman Randathani.
 The Digniteries  Sri. Ummer M.L.A, Dr. Usha Titus Secretary Health ( Education), Padmashree Dr. P.K Warrier, District Collector Mr. M.C Mohandas I.A.S, Ayurveda Education Director Dr. Namboodri attended the function.

Kottakkal Ayurveda college , one of the oldest Ayurveda colleges in Kerala , initiated the idea of introducing good governance for improving the service through ICT in one of the governing body chaired by the Secretary (Health Education ) , Government of Kerala. . Chief Executive officer of the college held series of discussion with NIC and finaly decided to go for developing a college suite, meeting all their requirements. 40  computers and other accessories were purchased and installed in the  Administrative office, college office and in the departments. These computers were connected in LAN by establishing a campus area network (CAN) which is also connected to powerful Servers installed for running college Suite. This network also provides  Internet to all units in the campus. Training room with seating  capacity for 10 was constructed to impart continous training to the staff of all categories in the college.

e-college*suite is  functional in the campus from 01/06/2009 and all modules are getting implemented with active support of the staff. e-College*Suite is developed using OpenSource technology in LAMP platform by  National Informatics Centre, Malappuram. eCollege is integrated with eGrathalaya and e*Hospital which will enable the students and teachers to access books and patients records from anywhere in the campus.
