VC Project between Court and Prisons inaugurated in Thrissur

A video conferencing network connecting 14 major courts and prisons in Thrissur district has been established and officially inaugurated on 27.06.2010.  Fourteen-state of the art- Video Conferencing Studios have been setup at in Thrissur with 9 studios in the court premises and 5 studios in the prison premises. Thrissur become the second district in Kerala to establish a VC network between court and prisons. The technical guidance and supply of Video Conferencing Equipment has been done by NIC.

 

NIC Thrissur also assisted prison department to conduct a detailed training program on VC operation and primary trouble shooting on hardware issues. 35 officers from various courts and prison attended the training programme.

 

Sh. Anil, Superintendent Viyur central jail inaugurated the training programme. DIO, NIC along with Siemens Engineer handled the sessions.
