Two days  workshop on SGSY MIS (http://rural.nic.in/sgsymis) was held on 04/01/2010 at  NIC Kerala State Unit, Training  Division for the Department of Rural Development . 30 participants from  all the 14 districts participated in the programme.  Ms. Neha Waiker, PSA welcomed the gathering. Mr. Dinesh, Additional Commissioner presided over the function.  He explained the objective of the programme and how to fill the gap between ministry and state by introducing the MIS. Mr. Rajiv Goel , PSA National coordinator explained about the SGSY programme and gave demo of the software. Ms. M.Kasthuri, Project coordinator conducted feed back session .The programme  ended with vote of thanks by Mr. Dinesh, Additional commissioner.  

SGSY Swarnjayanti Gram Swarozagar Yojana is a Web Based Monitoring System which enables online management of activities of  Swarozgaries(SHGs). System provides details of  Individual Swarozgaries, Training Details, Fund Management, Federation Details, Product and Marketing Details. Ministry of Rural Development and the sub offices at state level , district level and block level  will use this role-based application.  This objective is to be achieved by inter alias, organizing the rural poor into Self Help Groups (SHGs) through the process of social mobilization , training and capacity-building,  provision of income generating assets and Marketing.
