The administrative training institute of the U.T of Lakshadweep, Kavaratti had organized a five day training programme on MGNREGA MIS, from 3rd to 8th February 2010.  The data entry operators attached to the   village panchayats of Lakshadweep and IT department staff from each block participated in the training programme. The director, Rural Development informed in his address that the U.T is planning to fully operationalize the NREGA MIS by March 2010. The training was formally inaugurated by Sh. K.P. Mohamed Koya, SIO, and NIC Lakshadweep.

 Ms. Asha Varma, TD, NIC Kerala and Ms. Susy, SA , NIC Kerala  handled the sessions from 3rd to 5th  February. Shri. A.I. Syed Mohamed Nizar, PSA, Shri. P. A. Mohamed Hassan, SSA and Ms. Shahina Beegum, Scientific Officer of NIC Kavaratti handled the remaining sessions.
